Into the wood

The artist note:

This painting grew out of my exploration of giving a third dimension to the animals I love. Using modeling paste, I created a textured, sculptural surface, then layered acrylics, watercolors, markers, and colored pencils with the delicate shimmer of gold leaf. The process itself became an experiment in pushing materials beyond their usual boundaries.
From within the golden branches, a young gazelle emerges—its eyes wide and innocent, a quiet symbol of fragility and grace, reminding us of beauty that persists even when hidden in the thicket.
